Lola`s Kitchen and Wine Bar in Long Beach

Food was good, but the online menu didn't match the one that was given to us. Serving sizes were small. We were actually advised to order two of the "shared dishes" by our waitress. We ultimately decided on individual plates and left unsatisfied. The service was friendly, but on the slow side.

Always good. We like the new small plate format. Lamb chops excellent. Staff couldn't be nicer.

The food wasn't good nor were the prices. I ordered a watermelon salad and a truffle mac and cheese. The salad was way too expensive for just a plate of arugula. The mac and cheese tasted odd from one of the cheeses used. Overall, bad experience. Avoid this place if you are looking for a bite, but the jury is still out for drinks. They could be good. I just don't know.

Great food. Decent theme nights and specials. Good food and wine selections. Great brunch. Well prepared dishes and always fresh seafood. Known for their superb tapas.

I'm a tomato snob, so I think that's why I'm only giving them a 3. We found this restaurant while looking for a different place. The Ambiance was nice, the service was informative and helpful, the food was good. I especially liked that they had chips and salsa on the table while you decide what you want to eat. I always love a restaurant that gives you a little nosh while you decide. But the portabella mushroom app had a mediocre tomato and its really just the end of tom season. If an app has 3 ingredients. They have to be above average. We each had one drink. One was good, one was not.

Lola’s has been around many years and is always consistent in food quality and service. The food is very well prepared and tasty. The service is usually friendly, but can be a little slow at times. Not a place to rush through dinner. It has a nice vibe and atmosphere with little comfy nooks to hang with friends or a date. Never had a poor meal here. Drinks are well prepared too. My burger was one of the best I have ever had!

What happened over this past year? Lola’s has changed for the worst since last summer. We went to Lola’s thinking we’d create our great burgers accompanied with great fries....Not. They limited their burger choices & fries are now extra. My friend wanted mozzarella cheese, but was told Lola’s only had cheddar cheese. How can a restaurant known for burgers not have mozzarella, American, & Swiss cheese on a burger menu? My other friend wanted an egg on his burger, like he’d been doing for years. No eggs on burgers anymore. We couldn’t get pickles with burgers either. We did not have crazy requests, pickles & a choice of cheese are pretty basic. Also chips that used to be served while you waited for food are no longer offered. Last year on a Saturday night people waited for tables. This year on a Saturday night there were plenty of empty tables. Lola management what are you thinking?

Nice restaurant. Food and service are always solidly good. Prices are reasonable for the area.

Great atmosphere kind of a Hemingway feel. Yellowfin Tuna was perfect.

Lola’s has a whole new twist on their food menu and everyone, especially residents of Long Beach, should give it a try. Lola’s has been a staple in Long Beach for as long as I can remember. However, they’ve newly reopened and revamped their menu. I’ve been there several times since the grand new opening. With friends, I’ve tried a range of their foods. To name a few, - fig pizza, short rib grilled cheese, pork chop with polenta and apricot chutney, truffle mac and cheese, watermelon arugula salad, brussels, steak with horseradish mashed... and the result is, delicious!! They really have gone upscale with their menu and the flavors aim to please. Add tasty dinks in a comfortable and pretty beach atmosphere, and it’s a win! I definitely recommend.

Was perfect date place. Atmosphere, food and service were great. Will definitely go again.

We had a great experience for Thanksgiving dinner at Lola's.

Crispy cauliflower and pretzel are amazing! Went there last night for my birthday. I have been there twice before and I have to say this was my best visit. Waitress was attentive and got our orders down and kept the drinks coming. Next owners are very hands on. Hoping to continue to see this place flourish! Table of 8 and not a single complaint. Everyone loved their meal and we got everything from steak to country fried pork chop, lamb chops and swordfish! All amazing with wonderful presentation! Keep it up you're doing great. Compliments to the chef! Definitely worth the few block walk from the train!

Went for wine and apps with the girls. Super cute place (I think it was recently remodeled). the staff was super friendly and attentive. Loved the brussel sprouts and the fried green tomatos. The mac and cheese was a bit on the bland side but overall the place was good. Looking forward to going back to check out the entrees

Always a good deal and good time

Great service, lovely food, awesome martinis and a good selection of craft draught beers. The bar is a social environment and a great way to connect with other patrons and the lovely staff that work there
